It’s that time of the year again where all the festivities are coming to an end and we are reaching into a new year full of fresh opportunities. I can’t actually believe how fast this year has went alone it just seems like it was this time last when I was writing this post. At the end of each year quite a lot of people have this thought of ‘new year’s resolutions’ or ‘goals for the new year’ where they set themselves a few goals to achieve throughout the new year. I remember this time last year I wrote this post and I was actually just reading it before thinking to myself did I achieve the goals I set myself and the truth is, no I didn’t. I wanted to blog regular and that sort of slacked at the end of this year and other goals I wanted to achieve and didn’t really achieve. I know it’s kind of bad but since a new year is on it’s way and I thought it’s time to reset them goals and write myself a few new ones.
1. Read more books
You’re probably thinking Caitlyn that’s a kind of random new year’s resolution but the truth is I actually don’t do enough of it. I love reading it’s something I have always enjoyed but I feel like the size of my ‘books to read’ pile is actually becoming a bit ridiculous and it needs to be sorted out and reduced so in the new year i’m really going to try read more.
2. Stick a regular posting
This is something that I really need to concentrate on because I love blogging and I don’t want to stop but I feel like I upload loads or upload once in a blue moon, it’s never a consistence routine. I would really like to do a regular routine of posting but at the moment it feels like revision has consumed me and I haven’t had time but I am going to try very hard to sticking to blogging in the new year to come.
3. Do well in my exams
As you may or may not know i’m sitting my GCSE exams in this year to come and to be honest I am quite terrified. I will be sitting them in a few months which I know will come around so quick but I would really like to do well in them so I can get into sixth form but also pursue my future.
4. Be happy
I feel like this has to be one of the most important goals to achieve not only in the new year but to achieve in the many years to come. Many of you probably didn’t know but this year has been a very stressful and difficult year for me and my family and it’s been hard to stay motivated or even to feel happy in myself which had an effect on me in my school work and mood in myself. So next year I would love to walk into 2016 with happy thoughts and just to love life and love what I am doing because if you don’t love what you do then thats when it can hurt you the most.
Happy new years guys and I wish you all the best for 2016!!
