Hey, everyone, it’s Caitlyn and welcome back!
Today is going to be a very exciting post which means you may want to get comfy as you’re all in for such a treat. If you have been following my blog or social media for a while you will know how much I love Lush. If you weren’t aware already, which I am surprised if you aren’t familiar with Lush, it is a cosmetics brand which producescreams, soaps, shampoos, shower gels, lotions, moisturisers, scrubs, masks and other cosmetics for hair, and body. They have a range of scents and formulas to help find something for everyone. They are very well known to help fight animal testing, which to me is such a positive part of their brand. On Friday morning I got to go to their breakfast blogger event they were having to showcase the release of their new Halloween and Christmas range which was insane and I thought I would tell you a bit about the event as well as show you all the amazing new products they have in store.
Throughout the morning, not only did we look like glitter pixies at one point but we made our own bubble bars (yes, my life has been complete) and we learnt so much about their new products and got to see some in action, which is always the exciting part. The first station was the new shower gel and soap section, and as you can see Lush has really switched it up this year with their new naked shower gels. Yes, they’re literally naked, no packaging, and yes it does look like soap but it isn’t soap. It’s such a creative twist to normal shower gel and they smell incredible and the scent is strong but not too overpowering. I would still say I am half and half with this new style of product as I am more of a shower gel type of girl with a liquid formula but I think I may grow to like them because they have some amazing scents like Twilight (My all time favourite) or some classics like Snow Fairy and rose jam I recommend.
Next is bath bombs and bubble bars, my favourite bit! This year it feels as if Lush has gone all out with their bath range, which is great for me but not so much for my bank aha because after today I had a full list of everything I wanted to buy to add to my collection. We had a smell of lots of different bath bombs and bubble bars and wands as well as tested some out. Christmas pud was definitely a favourite, it turns your bath into a mixture of vibrant colours and leaves your skin feeling very soft. Another new favourite has to be the snow fairy bath bomb and I have a feeling this will be such a sell out this year because everyone loves Snow Fairy. This also turns your bath a beautiful pastel pink shade and it smells insane! If you get the chance, pop into your local Lush and give it a smell, I promise you will thank me later lovelies!
This is the moment I have been so excited to write and I can’t believe I got to make my own version of the bubble bar creamy candy. My life was complete. If you had asked me 3 years ago if I had made my version of a Lush product you can guarantee what my answer would be. This was such an exciting and surreal moment for me, especially since we got to knead all the mixture together, place them in the shape moulds, decorate them and just experiment and learn as we went along. It was such a fun activity and I actually can’t wait to try it out in the bath.
As well as getting lots of photos, so many products and to meet so many inspiring influencers out there, the event was a day I will never forget. Make sure to check out the new Halloween and Christmas range in your local Lush as it is amazing this year – like I said they have really excelled this year. I definitely think I will be popping back to pick up some products, I really want to pick up sparkly pumpkin and bewitched bubble bar as well as pumpkin bath bomb! Pink pumpkin did slip into my bag though (oops) which is actually a new edition this year and it smells very floral and it’s pink and sparkly, what more could want! I am very excited to try this out. I would also love to tell you every product I want from the Christmas range, however, I am pretty sure we would all be here forever but I might do a featured post soon when I have done a huge shop.
Overall the event was so surreal because I have loved the brand for many years and it just felt amazing to be there testing the new range and I still can’t get over we made bubble bars, like how insane! Thank you to Lush Newcastle, you treated us well and I had such an amazing time with so many amazing and inspiring women! Here’s to many baths ahead with the new range!
Let me know what your favourite seasonal Lush products this year are?
