10 Ways To Spend Halloween | 2016

Hey everyone!

Are you guys wondering how to spend Halloween? Have you got any plans? If not then you have come to the right place as I thought this year since I’m such a Halloween fanatic and have so many ways I would love to spend the day it’s hard to narrow it down to one, it’s a shame it was only one day every year. I thought I would give you guys a list of my top ten fun ideas of how you could spend Halloween. Not many enjoy Halloween or see the point of it but I absolutely love it and these ideas would be great to spend with your friends, family, pets, anyone you like or even by yourself. It works either way.

1.) Have a horror movie night!
Horror movie nights are probably one of my favourite things to do all year round never mind just Halloween alone. I think this is a great way to spend the evening if you’re older and don’t have many plans – grab your friends, family, pets and make your front room all cosy, order a takeaway or get some delicious snacks and don’t forget that blanket or cushion to hide behind and hit play! Some of my favourite horror films to watch are The Scream trilogy, The Insidious trilogy, The Final destination franchise or if you’re a bit more afraid and want a hint of comedy in there then I opt for the Scary Movie boxset, it never fails to make me laugh. The combination of comedy and horror what more could you ask for!
2.) Go to or host a Halloween party!
Halloween parties are the absolute best, nothing beats getting dressed up with your friends and making each other look really fricken cool and dancing the night away and taking some really spooky pictures. However what is, even more, fun is hosting your own Halloween party or get together which I would really like to do one year. I love the whole idea of decorating your whole house and making some really awesome snacks and drinks to serve to your guests and let’s not forget the playlist to set the mood. If I also had a Halloween party I would also definitely have a Photo Booth as they’re just so fun and you can make some fun memories.
3.) Go trick or treating!
The ultimate Halloween tradition! When I was younger I used to go every year but since I am 16 now it’s not much likely I could go now but nothing stops you from tagging along with the family or the younger sibling to get all the candy. When I and my friends were younger at the end of the night we used to go back to one of our houses and spread all the candy all over the floor and trade and swap ones we didn’t like – it was really fun. The memories!
4.) Do some Halloween baking!
Omg, nothing tops baking for me no matter what the occasion is I just find it so fun and you can just be so creative, there are no limits. This year I am definitely doing some more Halloween themed baking as it is so fun and for my friends too for our Halloween/back to school feast. I will be posting Halloween themed treats next week so stay tuned!
5.) Have a halloween themed sleepover!
2 years ago I done this with 3 of my best friends and let me tell you it was so much fun! We all done halloween themed make up to wear for the night and we watched horror films with lots of snacks, I would definitely do it again. It’s the perfect way to catch up with your friends but also have a fun night with each other!
6.) Host a best halloween costume contest!
Now this one I have never done before but seems so much fun, especially if you’re really bored and have nothing to do then this could be something for you. Grab your friends and family and all get dressed up and see who can pull of the best and scariest look of them all. It would be even more exciting if you could have a little cat walk to show of your thrilling looks and have a judge. This is also something you could include in a party as a contest for your guests to take part in. Get styling!
7.) Go on a ghost walk!
Ghost walks seem like such the activity to get the adrenaline pumping and I was actually talking to one of my friends the other day who was telling me what it was like, as she has been on a few and they just seem so interesting, learning about the history but all getting that sense of fear. I definitely need to go on one of these one year and see if I can survive the thriller of the ghost walk!
8.) Dress up your pet!
Now this is optional as you may not have a pet but nothing beats including your furry friend in the holiday spirit! You could buy them a little halloween outfit to match your own or just to make them nice and festive and then you could have a little photoshoot with your pet. It’s also a great way to bond together and make sure you’re having fun and spending time with one another, nothing can top it.
9.) Go to a fright night!

This is something I have wanted to do every halloween but I have no fright night events near me however there is one’s all over the country, the main two I know are Shocktober fest at Tulley’s farm which I want to go to so bad and also Thrope park have a fright night this year which looks super cool and scary. SO if you have nothing to do grab your friends or family and get some tickets and of you go to night of your life.

10.) Go camping and tell spooky stories!

Now this idea screams halloween or has horror movie scene written all over it! I have never been camping before but definitely told scary stories however camping in the middle of no-where with everyone gathered round the camp fire and telling spooky stories screams horror movie scene! However this can be super fun to do and I would love to try this some day.

If you’re telling spooky stories make sure not to scare each other to much haha!

I hope you try some of these ideas or now have some plans for the night if you didn’t already, let me know in the comments if you celebrate halloween and what your plans are for it.

Have a fun night everyone and don’t let the bed bugs bite!

 Happy halloween!
